This is a very versatile rifle with five barrels, two buttstocks and two forends. Listed in order of caliber above they are: 28” part octagon part round, 28” part octagon part round 28” full round, 28” part octagon part round with turned to medial at the point of transition and three grooves near the muzzle and 30” part octagon part round, all Douglas premium, all with bright excellent bores. In order of caliber listed above they are: 1 in 16 twist, 1 in 10 twist (.2570 groove), 1 in 14 twist (.3202 groove), 1 in 15 twist (.3192 groove), and 1 in 16 twist (.3207 groove), all retaining about 99% original satin or polished blue, the 32-20 CPA showing a number of light scratches or handling marks, primarily at the muzzle. The action and lever retain 99% plus satin chrome finish the frame showing nice Stevens-quality open flowing scroll engraving with geometric bordering. All barrels have bright excellent bores but the 32-20 CPA which shows some light pitting nearer the breech, and the 22 LR barrel has a very light ring in the bore 5” from the muzzle. The smooth American walnut flat-bottom grip benchrest buttstock rates excellent as do the grip inserts for the lever, the stock having a 14” length of pull from the front trigger to the Pachmayr Olde English pad. The auxiliary stock is a checkered pistolgrip Schuetzen-style with high comb and scooped cheekrest and a dual prong Swiss butt, the top prong having been neatly removed; it rates excellent. Currently installed on the gun is a large square American walnut benchrest forend which shows some very nice grain figure and rates very fine to excellent. The additional forends are Stevens style with the Schnabel tips and crisp wraparound checkering patterns, both rating excellent, one with a very small crack along its right rear edge. All five barrels are drilled and tapped for steel target blocks, there are a total of four present, the 22 LR and 32-40 Win barrels have dovetails cut for front sight mounting, they are currently vacant. Equipped with double set triggers, the action seems to function properly mechanically. A wonderful and very versatile set sure to provide many hours of enjoyment both at the range and prepping for your special calibers. No items are to be removed from our facility until paid for in full by the purchaser. GUIDELINES FOR FIREARM DELIVERIES All Federal, State and Local firearms laws will be strictly adhered to. FFL holders may take possession of any firearm on day of sale (excluding Class III) when they present a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License. If an FFL dealer is sending an “agent” to pick up items, that person must be a bona fide, paid employee of the company with a W4 on file. Outside contractors cannot be used as pickup agents. A SIGNED LETTER FROM THE FFL STATING THIS FACT MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF PICK UP. The FFL Dealer will in turn be notified that a transfer was made to you as their agent. New Hampshire residents over the age of 21 may take possession of any firearm, on day of sale, provided the proper paperwork is completed and the transfer has been approved either through the N.H. State Police or the FBI NICS System, whichever is appropriate based upon the type of firearm(s) purchased. Non-resident individuals from states without waiting periods may take possession of long guns on day of sale after completing the proper forms and successfully completing a NICS check. If you reside in a state with a waiting period, your items will need to be shipped to a dealer in your state. No modern handguns will be delivered to non-resident individuals. All modern handguns purchased by non-resident individuals will need to be delivered to or shipped to an FFL holder in the buyer’s home state. FIREARM CLASSIFICATION: ANTIQUE - no paperwork required MODERN - Post-1898 firearm which requires an FFL or 4473 with corresponding successful background check in order to be delivered. C&R - for firearms that fall under the ATF Curio & Relics licensing and if purchased by a person with a “C&R License” no paperwork is required. NOTE: Items that meet the age requirements but have been altered from their original configuration may NOT be delivered on a C&R License. ABSENTEE/TELEPHONE/ON-LINE BIDDING • As a service to our buyers, Amoskeag Auction Company, Inc. will accept absentee bids from bidders who cannot attend the sale. Bidders without prior credit approval are required to submit a 20% deposit prior to bids being accepted (credit cards may be used for absentee deposits).
