serial #7951, .270 Win, 24'' factory FN barrel with a bright excellent bore, which is highly likely unfired. These wonderful barreled actions were arguably the finest ''Mauser'' turn-bolt rifles ever made. The external metal surfaces retain about 99% original FN blue with the interior races of the receiver, follower, feed ramp and bolt remaining in-the-white and have what is likely their original grease preservative, now hardening slightly with the years. There are a couple of spots here and there of some extremely light surface oxidation, but they are missed at first glance and absolutely unobtrusive, the bolt handle with a bit of very light staining that would polish bright again very quickly and easily. The trigger has some very nice pale purplish fire temper and the bolt stop is a lovely pale fire blue, with a small spot of light oxidation. These beautiful actions were never made scope-ready, but do come factory equipped with low-swept safeties and a push-button release floorplate. The front ring has a prominent ''FN'' logo factory marked, with the Fabrique Nationale Herstal roll marking on the left side of receiver. The front sight ramp has its original brass bead sight and hood, the rear receiver ring factory drilled on its right side for a receiver sight. Barrel, receiver, and bolt are all serial numbered alike. These sublime actions are very hard to come by these days, this one in a fabulous light-reoiling and exceedingly versatile chambering. Don't miss this one, ''they aint makin' anymore''. (3A1030-1) {FIREARM} (400/600)
