The barrels on this top-quality combination gun retain 99% plus original maker blue with wide open flowing scroll at the bolsters. The frame and the lockplates show over all excellent quality open flowing scroll with background punch-dot shading and game scene vignettes left and right. The right side shows an endearing vignette of two waterfowl taking off from a marsh after being startled by a prowling fox, the left side showing a buck and a three doe rehbock against a woodland backdrop. Wonderful scroll continues onto the belly of the frame where “Krieghoff/Ulm” is maker-marked in riband, the surfaces a bright pewtery French gray. The arm is stocked in a handsome grade of Circassian walnut with a left side rounded shadowline cheekpiece and a European style comb. The stock rates very fine to excellent with a lovely satin oil finish and a few very light handling marks or dings here and there from light field use. Both buttstock and forearm show very nice skip-line checkering with the same engraving on the forearm hardware. The butt has been very professionally shortened and the original hard rubber buttplate re-installed and currently boasts a 13 1/16” length of pull to the front single set trigger. The arm features cocking indicators and non-automatic safety with extractors. The barrels feature a simple sourdough style front sight with pivoting tight u-notch and wide open u-notch rear for use as shotgun sight only. The rib features maker-installed quick detach claw mount bases with matching rings which mount a very nice Zeiss Diavari-D2.5-10X telescopic sight with heavy European three tapered post reticle and bright excellent optics. The scope itself rates very fine with perhaps a very small scratch or tiny handling mark here and there. The arm locks up as tight as the day it left Ulm and seems to operate well mechanically. Included with the arm is a very nice leather carry case for the scope. The last manufacturer’s suggested retail price for these arms was in excess of $22,000, this example is in excellent condition showing only the lightest handling marks on the wood and the butt shortened just enough that one is able to utilize the arm wearing your winter or late fall hunting garb. No items are to be removed from our facility until paid for in full by the purchaser. GUIDELINES FOR FIREARM DELIVERIES All Federal, State and Local firearms laws will be strictly adhered to. FFL holders may take possession of any firearm on day of sale (excluding Class III) when they present a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License. If an FFL dealer is sending an “agent” to pick up items, that person must be a bona fide, paid employee of the company with a W4 on file. Outside contractors cannot be used as pickup agents. A SIGNED LETTER FROM THE FFL STATING THIS FACT MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF PICK UP. The FFL Dealer will in turn be notified that a transfer was made to you as their agent. New Hampshire residents over the age of 21 may take possession of any firearm, on day of sale, provided the proper paperwork is completed and the transfer has been approved either through the N.H. State Police or the FBI NICS System, whichever is appropriate based upon the type of firearm(s) purchased. Non-resident individuals from states without waiting periods may take possession of long guns on day of sale after completing the proper forms and successfully completing a NICS check. If you reside in a state with a waiting period, your items will need to be shipped to a dealer in your state. No modern handguns will be delivered to non-resident individuals. All modern handguns purchased by non-resident individuals will need to be delivered to or shipped to an FFL holder in the buyer’s home state. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping charges and all items must be paid for on day of sale. Bidders should be familiar with their local and state laws as Amoskeag Auction Co., Inc. will not be responsible for any parties purchasing items which may not be possessed in, or shipped to their state of residence.
