The barrel of this rifle retains perhaps 60% original blue thinning to a blue-gray patina throughout along with scattered freckling and some pinprick pitting. The action has mostly toned to a medium gray-brown patina with overall freckling and the lever and hammer showing some remnants of silvery case-hardened patina. Some of the screw heads show light slot wear and all of the markings remain clear. The plain walnut stocks remain in very good condition showing mostly worn finish but very good metal-to-wood fit showing a couple moderate scratches, dings and handling marks. The rifle is sighted with Winchester's 32 Special rear sight, small German silver blade front and the action seems to function well mechanically. An attractive example that shows some honest use. New Hampshire residents over the age of 21 may take possession of any firearm on day of sale providing the proper paperwork is filled out and the transfer has been approved either through the NH State Police or the FBI NICS System. While most NICS and State approvals are immediate, approvals could take up to 3 days. Most non-residents may take possession of long guns on day of sale after completing the proper forms and successfully completing a NICS check; modern handguns will need to be shipped to an FFL holder in the buyer’s home state.
