The metal surfaces have mostly toned to a dark gunmetal patina showing spots of light to moderate old pitting scattered throughout along with some scattered old tool marks. The screw hole below the saddle ring bar is heavily damage, perhaps with some remnants of the screw still in place, a few other screws show some moderate slot and hole damage, the front band screw is missing and the saddle ring itself is missing although the bar is intact. All of the markings are still quite legible. The plain walnut stocks remain in good condition perhaps showing a bit of older added finish along with a number of old professionally repaired sections around the upper tang, moderate abrasions at the forend tip and some overall handling marks. The small button on the brass butt trap is missing, the original carbine sights and dust cover are intact and the action seems to function well mechanically albeit a bit sluggishly. GUIDELINES FOR FIREARM PURCHASES • All Federal, State and Local firearms laws will be observed. FFL holders may take possession of any firearm on day of sale when they present a signed copy of their Federal Firearms License. New Hampshire residents over the age of 21 may take possession of any firearm on day of sale providing the proper paperwork is filled out and the transfer has been approved either through the NH State Police or the FBI NICS System. While most NICS and State approvals are immediate, approvals could take up to 3 days. Most non-residents may take possession of long guns on day of sale after completing the proper forms and successfully completing a NICS check; modern handguns will need to be shipped to an FFL holder in the buyer’s home state. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping charges and all items must be paid for on day of sale.
